Hi everyone!

It’s been a hot minute! Yet again. This time though, I did not disappear, but was working on effecting a few changes.

In my last post, I suggested that I will create a poll to assess the attitude of Nigerian doctors to practicing medicine in Nigeria. I created that poll several months back and we (my collaborators and I) have gotten impressive responses from doctors. Let me use this opportunity to express my profound gratitude to all doctors who have made time to fill our questionnaire. Thanks very much! I’d also like to thank my friends, colleagues and associates who shared the questionnaire amongst their contacts. In the first week I shared it, it was on so many of my friends’ WhatsApp status. Thank you all, I appreciate the solidarity. When we started, I had not anticipated a lot of things, including but not only how intriguing the responses would be. Let me give a tiny little snippet: most of the participants so far, would readily work in Nigeria, if certain conditions are met. Who would have thought! This has been an absolutely amazing ride for me! More amazing than I could have imagined, and now I covet more responses, which is why I am bringing the questionnaire on here and would love to ask for your help. As to some of the changes you can expect? I will be doing much less writing (unfortunately) and some more talking. I am putting together a team of experts to answer some of the commonest questions I have received in recent time. These people will answer your questions and I will find ways to make these sessions as interactive as possible. In the meantime, please do not forget to fill the questionnaire (if you are a Nigerian trained MD) and share it please, so that we can have as many responses as possible.
